The magnificence of Zion is simply overwhelming... all daily thoughts and mind-wanderings are wiped out and replaced with variety of totally cosmic images, including the one of self as a very tiny ant. May mountain spirits keep us merry... :)

Mum and lizard on the same photo... In contact. Should all that happens in Vegas really stay in Vegas? No, not this moment anyway. :)

First night at the Artisan ... Suite nr 422 was that of Henri Matisse - ahh, I say. Every room, every corridor, every staircase and every suite in this hotel is filled with art. We are next door to Frida Cahlo and Salvador Dali. Am already looking forward to my dreams tonight. :)

Little Sunday fun with friends. Havener's house is like a friendly hug: you don't just enter the place, you fall into it and remain comfortable and cozy, smiling all along... :)
The lovely princess Gardenia has graced us with the first bloom! How beautiful is she... :)

Getting to know the feathery friends of the neighborhood... Best observed from River Princess. :) Spotted many herons, ibises, ospreys, storks above and dolphins, mallets and other random fishes below. But the best was left for last - the bird in lower left corner is a yellow-crowned night-heron who is almost impossible to spot because of their nocturnal life style. As this is a nesting season, adults need to keep their eyes peeled even at a daytime... Gorgeous creatures. :)

EVERYBODY IS THE GUEST

In inviting sentient beings as guests, the bodhisattva, the practitioner in the Mahayana, has a constant sense of the impermanence of the relationship—the guest is going to leave. So we view this as an opportune time, and there is constant appreciation. Our guests come. We entertain them and relate with them. Afterward, the guests thank us, we say good-bye, and we go back to running our home. There is a sense of the preciousness and the impermanence of the relationship, a sense of that relationship being extremely special. Our guest may be our husband, our wife, or our child—everybody is the guest of everybody.

Am embarking on a new journey. Stepping onto an unknown territory, well hidden behind all too familiar facades and habits. Life gets lost in translation if you are the one who localizes, edits, reviews and approves. Some projects must be sent out for the world to review, for enemies to edit and for strangers to approve. And much like with a novice novelist, expectations must be buried and trust unearthed. If the sounding board sends tunes to dance to, we must be composers, if what comes is of artistic nature, we must be artists, if its not worth listening to, we must grab the shovel and keep digging, grab the pen and keep writing, grab the smile and keep living... Cannot drive the world. Must remember, the pedal is missing and the bus has no seats. Or walls for that matter...
Hold on to your hats! :)

Life is truly a funny enterprise. Just when you think that you have reached some kind of an "even" level, be it related to work, dreams, relationships, travels, skills, or similar - something shakes, the carpet moves and you are hanging above the empty space once again, ready to take flight, ready to BE in a different space, time, costume... Every "level" period gives us many things to like, many things to get used to, many ideas to cherish. And many flights never happen because we cling to whatever we thought was dear, important, valuable. There is one thing which may lessen the fear of losing... And that seems to be knowing, not believing, but knowing that we are wise enough to surround ourselves with what is right for us. Trusting. Trusting that the valuable from "before" will be there "after". Not perhaps in the same shape and form, but there nonetheless. And then we'll remove the "time-factor", et voila! it is all there...

May the winds carry you far...
See how Birdmen do it :)

Mum wanderings in Orlando

Magnificent animals! Even though I would love to see them all playing in the wild, I see what is: In our "sit on couch and watch TV" era most people have no idea what is a killer whale or why does seahorse have so many different varieties. SeaWorld helps to "see the sea"... Bowing back to Greatness in front of me...
